St George’s Day 2010 Two years today You were taken away, We will never forget ‘Twas on St George’s Day. You fought your own dragon But sadly you lost, A large void in our lives And our hearts was the cost. You lived a full life Crammed in much more than most, Enjoyed fast cars and bikes, Hols abroad, and did host Some lovely gatherings On your birthdays to toast Your full love of life Whilst the burgers did roast. Now your wonderful life Has been sadly ended, I hope that some day All our hearts will be mended, We think of you daily, Our eternal love never ended. I hope you can see us All travelling on, We know something’s missing, We know you are gone, But you’re still here beside us In spirit and mind, I hope you’re an Angel Of the very best kind.
